DENTIST November 28, 1977 City of Little Canada Planning Commission Gentlemen and Ladies: I respectfully request that, before the January, 1978, meeting of the Little Canada City Council, a determination be made by the Planning Commission with the professional advice of Xidwest Planners as to what type of future development should be planned for the new section of County Road C extending west of Lake Shore Avenue to Park Street. Though this section is virtually undeveloped at present and is zoned residential, the nature of this area has dramatically changed since the new County Road C was constructed. This road, with its four lanes and higher speed limit, is becoming a major thoroughfare of Little Canada, and I request and recommend that this section be considered for some well - planned rezoning and commercial development. Because of this changing environ- ment, a continuance of residential zoning may not be in the best interests of the city. For the past three months I have been appearing before the city meetings request- ing that a piece of land north of County Road C and immediately west of the railroad tracks be rezoned from residential k -1 to limited business 8 -1 for the purpose of building a dental office. At the November City Council meeting the Council voted to table my request until the January, 1978, meeting by which time it could hopefully have been determined what the future planning would be for this new section of the county road. Therefore, it is with this January City Council meeting in mind, that 1 request that the Planning Commission make a determination regarding this area, and in particular the piece of property earlier mentioned.
