CITY OF VADNAIS HEIGHTS ORDINANCE NO. * AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING $100.00 PARK AND RECREATION FEE FOR CERTAIN SINGLE FAMILY DWELLINGS AND AMENDING THE CITY CODE BY ADDING SECTION 47.140. The City Council of the City of Vadnais Heights does hereby ordain: I. The City Code of the City of Vadnais Heights is hereby amended by adding Section 47.140 to read as follows: 47.140. Park fee for residential dwellings. (1) The Council recognizes that each additional residential dwelling creates a need for public park and recreation areas. Sections 33.020 and 48.100 provide a method for funding such needs for newly platted residential property and for multiple dwellings. This section applies where a single family dwelling is to be constructed on unplatted property or property that has been platted prior to adoption of Section 33.020. (2) Each applicant for a building permit on a single family dwelling shall pay, at the time of making such application, $100.00 which money shall be placed in a special fund and used only for park and recreational acquisition and maintenance (3) This section shall not apply if the land on which such single family dwelling is to be constructed was subject to payment of such $100.00 or dedication of land for park purposes under the provisions of Section 33.020. II. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
