Minutes City Council (Cont'd.) October 11, 1978 Transfer Of Mr. Hanson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Revenue Sharing RESOLUTION NO. 78 -10 -388 - AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER Funds OF $7,451.00 Ox' REVENUE SHARING FUNDS TO THE GENERAL FUND The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Nadeau. Ayes (5) Messrs. Hanson, Nadeau, Jespersen, Valento and DeBace. Nayes (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 4, Page 307. Call for Bids Mr. Hanson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: for Tree Removal Delinquent Water Charges RESOLUTION NO. 78 -10 -389 - CALLING FOR BIDS FOR TREE REMOVAL FOR 1979 TO BE TAKEN ON NOVEMBER 6, 1978 at 11 :00 A.M. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Ayes (5) Messrs. Hanson, Valento, Nadeau, Hanson Hayes (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 4, Valento. and DeBace. Page 307. Council had discussion regarding the turning off of City water when there is failure to pay the water bills. Attorney Parks stated that there is a Supreme Court decision that says a municipality cannot terminate water service without giving adequate notice for a hearing if the bill is disputed. However, if the bill is correct the water service can be terminated. Councilman DeBace stated that single family residences could be deleted, and only large complexes could be under the water turn off ordinance. H. Rondaau Councilman Hanson reported that Parcel #53- 00600- 050 -75 was assessed Assessment for watermain improvement. This is in error as there is no water stub on the parcel and the water;nain does not abutt the parcel. The assessment should be deferred or deleted. Council stated that Engineer Carley should take a look at this. Knox Lumber A petition was received from Knox Lumber for ditch clean out. Ditch Council asked that Engineer Carley look at this situation. Clean Out Assessment Mr. Valento Reapportionment Division No. 53765 introduced the following resolution and moved RESOLUTION NO. 78 -10 -390 - APPROVING THE ASSESSMENT REAPPORTIONMENT DIVISION NO. 53765, DIP NO. 68, ADD. NO. 1205 FOR NATERMAIN 1972 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. Ayes (5) Messrs. Valento, Hanson, DeBace, Jespersen and Nadeau. Nayes (0). Resolution declared adopted. 308.
