Little Canada Planning Commission
6 July 1978
Page Six
on Jackson Street could eliminate any desirability as a
shortcut to the industrial area. This alternative is ultimately
seen as reducing the amount of traffic to Jackson Street
and onto Little Canada Road. (See Sketch #2)
4. Another possibility is that of extending Beam Avenue west
across the railroad tracks. This would require further
investigation into the requirements for on -grade railroad
crossings and the necessity for land acquisition and road
dedication to the west of the trailroad tracks.
5. Regardless of the direction taken on this proposal it is
suggested that the number of two family lots, at least on the
south side of Beam Avenue be reduced.
It should be emphasized again that the above mentioned alternatives are strictly
suggestions as to perhaps better solutions and, as such, require further investigation
and analysis.
cc: Joseph Chlebeck
Clayton Parks
Don Carley
Ray Kroiss
8
