General Comments - One citizen asked Mr. Nielsen what was included in the <br />community trail system that is proposed in the Plan. <br />Mr. Nielsen replied that it is an open space system <br />reserved for bikes and pedestrians. The citizen informed <br />Mr. Nielsen that the Metropolitan Council has proposed <br />a snowmobile trail for Little Canada. Mr. Nielsen stated <br />that he was not aware of this and that he felt a snowmobile <br />trail in a residential area was not good planning. <br />One citizen stated that he would like to compliment the <br />Planner on a well- organized presentation. <br />Mr. Steven Mattson and Mr. Andy Merry of Juran & Moody, Inc. appeared before <br />the Council to recommend the public sale of $1,870,000 general obligation <br />refunding bonds of 1978. By selling these bonds the City could realize a <br />savings in the tax levy of $38,863 over the next several years. <br />Mr. Hanson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78 -8 -238 - PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC SALE OF <br />$1,870,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION REFUNDING BONDS OF 1978 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Jespersen. <br />Ayes (3) Messrs.
