Page 3 <br />Planning Commission <br />June 1, 1978 <br />JOE VITALE: Joe Vitale appeared and presented a new revised concept <br />Venetian Inn plan for remodeling the Venetian Inn. <br />Dick Boss moved to approve the new concept for remodeling <br />the Venetian Inn subject to original contingencies. <br />Motion carried 8 - 0. Joe Vitale abstained. <br />Brad Nielsen of Midwest Planning appeared and recommended a joint <br />presentation of the Comprehensive Plan Proposal at a special meeting <br />of the City Council and Planning Commission. Neighborhood meetings <br />at the City Center for input, attended by the Planning Commission <br />and /or City Council, were suggested. He recommended that the City <br />make copies of the Proposed Plan available to citizens for review <br />and furnish copies to surrounding communities for their comments. <br />It was suggested that the County Road C area be given first consider- <br />ation at meeting to review planning Districts 12, 16, 17 & 18, referred <br />to in report (page 92). <br />Districts 1 -5, 11 & 13 and 19, 20, 23 & 24 and 6 -10, 14 -15, & 21 -22 <br />were suggested as three other combined areas for review. <br />Jack Radford moved that the Secretary contact the Clerk and request <br />that a special joint meeting be set up for June 7th between the <br />Planning Commission and the City Council for purpose of the Planner <br />making a presentation on the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Virginia Fisher seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried 9 -0. <br />The meeting duly adjourned at 10:10 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Mike Fahey <br />Secretary <br />Planning Commission <br />0 0 <br />
