MINNESOTA 55108
December 6, 1978
Mr. Joseph Chlebeck
Clerk of Court
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minnesota 55117
Dear Joe:
PHONE 774.8731
This letter is to advise the City Council of certain
expenditures that must be made by the next meeting and the necessary
information for your records.
First is the matter of the purchase of the Mary House
property for future expansion of the fire department. We are entering
into an agreement to purchase the property for a cash payment of
$8,000 and as additional consideration, a waiver of the existing
assessments and payment by the City of all expenses in connection with
this land acquisition. Total costs to the City is approximately
$10,200. The legal description of the property is attached hereto
in the form of a Certificate of Survey print from Carley Engineering.
Our immediate attention is for an earnest money check in the
sum of $500.00 which I shall deliver to the sellers later today and
an additional payment in the sum of $7,500 which will be provided at
the next regular Council meeting for December and delivered to the
sellers subsequent thereto.
The next matter is the payment of $800.00 to Mr. Tansey for
his expert testimony appraisal on the Mostad condemnation trial as
well as his original appraisal fees which were never paid for. The
check should be made out to Robert Tansey in the amount of $800.00.
The total sum due to Howard Mostad on the condemnation case
has not been determined yet. In addition to the $35,000 there will
be interest and costs. As soon as I have the figures I will let you
know.
CPJr :ph
Yours very truly,
Clayton Parks, Jr.
0
Ffl U
LITTLE CANADA
