MINNESOTA <br />SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICTS <br />RAMSEY SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />Mid-Americo Bank Building <br />1827 North Saint Paul Rood <br />Maplewood, Minnesota 55107 <br />Telephone 612i 777 -0127 <br />SERVICES OFFERED BY THE RAMSEY SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />Services offered to Community on written request: <br />Site Plan Review <br />1) Evaluate proposed plats in terms of: <br />a) Soil suitability <br />b) Water resources <br />- value of wetlands <br />- possible impact of stormwater runoff <br />2) Make recommendations: <br />a) To minimize soil erosion during and after construction <br />b) To minimize damage to water resources (wetlands, lakes <br />and streams) <br />II Resource Inventories <br />Of: a) Wetlands <br />b) Soils <br />For: a) For use by the City in making zoning and land use decisions. <br />III Conservation Plans <br />These are erosion control plans on city owned property. This purpose <br />is to schedule implementation of erosion control practices in the most cost <br />effective manner. <br />IV DNR Water Permit Review <br />A) District cooperates with DNR in evaluating requests to work in <br />public waters in terms of: <br />1) Effects on water quality <br />Using same considerations as for site plan reviews. <br />V. State Cost Share or Erosion Control Practices. <br />A) New Program <br />B) Purpose: To provide financial assistance for projects <br />erosion and protect water quality <br />C) District can Cost -Share on qualifying erosion control projects: <br />1) With any landowner <br />2) Up to 75% of total cost <br />which control <br />AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER <br />+J010 <br />
