Provided that if any such lands are located within the boundaxies.of any oruaniued town, or incorporated runicinality, ifhe classification shall first be approved -.oy- such governing body insofar as the lands located therein are concerned. Conservation lands Under this section, the county board may by resolution declare lands so classified as primarily suitable for timber production, and which should be sold for such purposes, subject to the approval of the con of natural resources. The county board may also by resolution resolve that certain lands classified as conservation lands be devoted to conservation uses, and ray subZLt, such resolu tion to t1,0 commissioner of natural resources. Lands so accepted by the state will be placed under the jurisdiction of the department of natural resources, and will be held by the state free from any trust in favor of any Lnd all taxing districts. Non Conservation Lunds Lands so classified nay be offered for sale if it shall be determined by the county board that it is advisable to do so, subject to the approval of the local governing body wheren such lands lie. Lands so classified. may be withheld from sale by the county board, if the board is of the opinion that such lands may be required by the state or any nunicipal subdivision thereof for public purposes. Lands so classified may be acquired by any governmental subdivision of the state by direction of the county board upon payment of the appraised value, by direction of the commissioner of taxation, subject to the approval of the county board, without pays2ent of any consideration, but subject to certain restrictions as to public use. Since the County of Ramsey does not have timber lands, or state conservation areas within its boundaries, all tax forfeited lands are usually classified as non-conservation lands so that jurisdiction over such lands remains with the county and its subdivisions.
