MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />FEBRUARY 8, 2006 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on Che 8th day of <br />February, 2006 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CTI'Y COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mr. Rick Montour <br />Council Member Ms. Barb Allan <br />Council Member Mr. John Keis <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />City Attorney Mr. Patrick Sweeney <br />City Planner Mr. Steve Grittman <br />Cable TV Producer Mr. Brandon Rickert <br />City Clerk Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />MINUTES Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-2-24 -APPROVING THE MINUTES OP <br />THE JANUARY 25, 2006 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AS <br />SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution adopted. <br />SALES TAX Mayor Blesener reported that he has been informed that one of the major <br />RATE retailers has been charging 7% sales tax on items and indicating that the <br />extra'/z% is for the City of LiCCle Canada. Blesener noted that Little <br />Canada has not imposed any additional sales tax over the State's 6.5% <br />rate. Therefore, any sales tax on items purchased in Little Canada should <br />be 6.5%. <br />COLISEUM Blesener reported that at the last Council meeting after the Council acted <br />BILLIARDS on a Conditional Use Permit request for Coliseum Billiards, a resident of <br />the neighborhood to the east of the Coliseum Billiards location informed <br />the Council that clientele from the billiard hall were commitCing crimes in <br />
