MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 8, 2006 <br />this neighborhood. Blesener reported that since the last meeting he has <br />visited Coliseum Billiards on three different occasions. He observed older <br />teens and young adults, both male and female, playing pool. Blesener <br />stated that the clientele that he observed would not be a worry to this <br />neighborhood. Blesener also noted that the Ramsey County Sheriff's <br />Department has reported no problems with or the resulC of the Coliseum <br />Billiard operation. <br />623 SCHOOL John Thein, School District #623 Superintendent, appeared before the <br />DISTRICT Council to thank the Little Canada community and City Council for the <br />SUPERINTEN- positive working relationship with the School District. Thein reported <br />DENT that District #623 is very proud to be a small part of the Little Canada <br />JOHN THEIN community and is grateful for its relationship with the City. Thein felt this <br />positive relationship is the result of the Mayor's and City Council's <br />leadership. He also noted that the City Administrator, City Clerk, and <br />other City departments and employees, including the Fire Department and <br />Sheriff's Department, have been easy and cooperative to work with. <br />Blesener indicated that it was his opinion that Principal Scott Allen at <br />Little Canada Elementary School was a first-class principal that cares <br />about the children and the community. Blesener felt Allen was a real asset <br />to the school and community. Thein agreed. <br />The City Administrator reported that from the City's perspective, the <br />School District has been very cooperative in working with the City, <br />especially in the area of parks and recreation and the sharing of facilities <br />for this use. The Administrator felt Chat the relationship between the City <br />and School District was best described as a win/win. <br />Thein again thanked the City, and pointed out Chat the children served by <br />the School District as well as the private schools operating within the <br />District are everyone's responsibility Cogether. <br />PRELIMINARY Mayor Blesener opened the continuation of Public Hearing to consider <br />& FINAL the Preliminary Plat and the Final Plat for Evergreen Hills which <br />PLAT - consists of six (6) single-family lots. It was noted that the Planning <br />EVERGREEN Commission has recommended approva] subject to compliance with <br />HILLS the recommendations of the City Planner and the City Engineer. <br />Tim Freeman, Folz, Freeman, Erickson, Inc., appeared before the Council <br />requesting approval of the Preliminary and Final Plats for Evergreen Hills. <br />Freeman noted that the proposed six single-family lot development is in <br />compliance with the City's Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code. <br />Freeman described the development which consists of six lots off a small <br />2 <br />
