1901.060. SCREENING. Screening consisting of fencing or landscaping, or <br />both, shall be situated between the pool structure and adjacent dwellings. <br />1901.070. SAFETY FENCING. (a) All in- ground pools shall be completely <br />enclosed by a fence at least 4 feet high of the type and design to prevent children <br />from gaining uncontrolled access to the pool. All fence openings or points of entry <br />shall be equipped with gates having self- closing and self - latching devices high <br />enough to be out of the reach of small children. <br />(b) All above- ground pools shall be so designed and constructed that access <br />to the pool can only be had by means of a ladder. All such ladders shall be detachable <br />and removed to an inaccessible storage area when the pool is not in use by the owners <br />thereof. While such ladders are in use they shall be so placed that no child can <br />climb them without the owner's knowledge or consent. <br />1901.080. OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE. No swimming pool shall be used, kept, <br />maintained or operated in such a manner as to constitute a nuisance or as to be <br />hazardous to health, life or property. Every pool shall have adequate equipment <br />to filter and otherwise keep the water clean and free from contamination. <br />1901.090. VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES. A violation of this Ordinance shall be <br />a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not to <br />exceed $300.00 and /or imprisonment for a period not to exceed 90 days for each <br />offense, Each day that a violation exists, after notification, shall constituteta <br />separate offense." <br />Section 2.
