Chlche,k: <br />As you are aware, the Little Canada- Shoreview Interceptor project <br />is included in the Metropolitan Council's Waste Management Policy <br />Plan for construction in the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission's <br />1977 Canital Budget. <br />However, because.the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission recognized <br />the pressing need for the project, the Commission has requested the <br />Metropolitan Council to amend the 1976 Capital Budget to add 93 million <br />for construction of the interceptor this year. This action was taken <br />by the Commission as part of the approval of the proposed 1977 - 1981 <br />Development Program. <br />The Development Program was transmitted to the Metropolitan Council <br />for review and approval on March .1 , 1976. The request to allow for <br />1976 construction of the Little Canada- Shoreview Interceptor was <br />included in the transmittal.
