PREPARATION OF SPECIFICATIONS. <br />Specifications shall be of such scope as to enable a'contracto <br />to quote a firm price and initiate material and equipment <br />orders to permit proper procedure with construction. <br />3 -4. PREPARATION OF PLANS AND PREPARATION OF SPECIFICATIONS <br />(_Items 3 and 4 combined) <br />Preparation of plans and preparation of specifications shall <br />comprise seventy per cent t70%) of the basic fee. <br />5. CANCELLED PROJECTS <br />If any work is abandoned or suspended, in whole or in part, <br />the ENGINEER shall be paid for that portion of the service <br />rendered in connection with such project. <br />5, ENGINEERING FEE SCHEDULE <br />Basic percentage fees shall apply to the contract cost of the <br />work. defined as the total value of the awarded contract, or <br />in the event that a contract is not awarded in accordance with <br />the plans and specifications. as designed, the total of the low <br />bid shall apply, <br />a. Less than •$20,000.00 <br />b. 20,000.00 to 50,000.00 <br />c, 50,000.00 to 100,000.00 <br />d. 100,000 00 to 200,000.00 <br />e. 200,000.00 to 500,000.00 <br />f. 500,000.00 to 1,000,000.00 <br />g. 1,000,000.00 and over <br />SECTION II <br />per diem rates <br />8.5% <br />8.0% <br />7.5% <br />7.0% <br />6.0% <br />5.5% <br />OTHER PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br />A, Certain services may be ordered by the OWNER and performed by the <br />ENGINEER or others under his direction. The OWNER shall pay the <br />ENGINEER for these services on the basis of an hourly rate. <br />B. EXTRA SERVICES include test borings, chemical tests, property <br />surveys, materials testing, resident supervision, staking out of <br />the work, inspection, "as- built" drawings, assessment rolls, legal, <br />advertising, instruction manuals and litigation. Extra services <br />shall be paid for directly by the OWNER when done by others, or if <br />performed by the ENGINEER shall.be at his hourly rate. <br />SUPERVISORY SERVICES shall include advice in the taking of bids and <br />letting of contracts, tabulation and analysis of bids, review of <br />shop drawings and the furnishing of additional details as may be <br />required to carry out the intent of the working drawings. Included <br />are supervisory inspection and review of the work during important <br />phases of construction, To assist the OWNER in obtaining contractor <br />compliance with the contract documents; checking of the contractor's <br />invoices and a final review of the work upon contractor's declara- <br />tion of completion together with the furnishing of a list of any <br />found deficiencies and omissions and a final certification of <br />completion of the project. <br />
