MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 13, 2006 <br />Budget before the end of the year. The Council agreed. The City <br />Administrator noted that a net levy increase of 4.0°lo results in a gross levy <br />increase of 4.05%. <br />Mr. Montour introduced Che following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-9-206 -CERTIFYING THE PRELIMINARY <br />2007 TAX LEVY IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,273,903 WHICH <br />RESULTS IN A GROSS LEVY INCREASE OF 4.05%AND A NET <br />LEVY INCREASE OF 4.0% <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Blesener noted that this is the maximum level that can be established for <br />the City's Cax levy. Again, the Council and staff will continue to work to <br />reduce the levy before the final budget adoption. <br />The City Administrator reported thaC the City's debt levy for 2007 will be <br />$0. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO.2006-9-207 -CERTIFYING THE CITY'S 2007 <br />DEBT LEVY AT $0 AS PROPOSED BY CITY STAFF <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Ms. Allan introduced Che following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0.2006-9-208 -CALLING FOR A TRUTH IN <br />TAXATION HEARING ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2006, AT 7:00 <br />P.M. FOR REVIEW OF THE PROPOSED 2007 BUDGET WITH A <br />CONTINUATION HEARING TO BE HELD ON MONDAY, <br />DECEMBER 11, 2006 AT 7:00 P.M. IF DETERMINED NECESSARY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />
