MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 13, 2006 <br />Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-9-21I -CALLING ASSESSMENT <br />HEARINGS FOR TUESDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2006 AS FOLLOWS: <br />6:00 P.M. - LaBORE ROAD <br />6:75 P.M. - RUTH STREET <br />6:45P.M. - SEXTANTAVENUE <br />9:I5 P.M. - SAVAGE LANE <br />7:45 P.M. - MORRISON STREET AND ROSE LANE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />OASIS The City Administrator reviewed his report dated September 8, 200( <br />PURCHASE recommending the drafting of a purchase agreement for the Oasis Market <br />AGREEMENT property which is a key piece of property in the potential Viking Drive re- <br />alignment project. The Administrator noted that the purchase agreement <br />would contain contingencies relative to Che City's ability to assemble all <br />the needed parcels as well as a satisfactory environmental assessment on <br />the Oasis site. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO.2006-9-2I2 -AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR AND CITY ATTORNEY TO PROCEED WITH <br />DRAFTING A PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE OASIS SITE AS <br />OUTLINED IN THE ADMINISTRATOR'S SEPTEMBER 8, 2006 <br />REPORT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ORGANIZED The City Administrator reported that the City's Organized Collection <br />COLLECTION Contract expires at the end of this year. He noted that collection rates <br />CONTRACT have been frozen for a number of years, with tipping fees being the only <br />variable rate. Given the fact that the disposal facility has been sold, Che <br />Administrator indicated thaC there is some conce~ro Chat tipping fees will <br />increase. <br />
