MINUTES CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER l3, 2006 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. LIFT The City Administrator reviewed the City Engineer's report dated STATION September 13, 2006 recommending award of the General Repair bid for REPAIRS repair of the County Road B-2 and Jessica Court Lift Stations as well as rejection of all bids for the Little Canada Lift Station repair. The City Administrator noted that this work had been bid earlier in the year, and all bids were rejected because only one bidder met bid specifications. The specs were modified and all bidders have complied with the specs in submitting their bids. The Administrator noted that the City Engineer evaluated the bid proposals based on several criteria including cost, experience, support services, ease of operation, ease of maintenance, and reliability of equipment. He noted the results of Chat evaluation as outlined in the City Engineer's September 13°i report. While the Quality Flow Systems bid is lowest, the Public Works Department's preference is the Gorman-Rupp equipment bid by General Repair. The Administrator noted the Engineer's determination that there is significant value in the fact that City staff is familiar with the quality, service, and maintenance requirements of the Gorman Rupp stations. Mr. LaValle introduced Che following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2006-9-2I4 -AWARDING THE GENERAL REPAIR BID FOR REPAIRS TO THE COUNTY ROAD B-2 AND JESSICA COURT LIFT STATIONS AS WELL AS REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR REPAIRS TO THE LITTLE CANADA LIFT STATION AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ENGINEER IN HIS REPORT DATED SEPTEMBER I3, 2006 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour.
