ed� <br />engineering <br />design <br />initiative <br />April 11, 2013 <br />Mr. Kevin Busch, AIA <br />Busch Architects, Inc. <br />310 41h Ave. South, Suite #1000 <br />Minneapolis, MN 55415 <br />Re: Proposal for Engineering Services - <br />Little Canada Recreation Building <br />Little Canada, Minnesota <br />Dear Mr. Busch, <br />On behalf of Engineering Design Initiative (edi) I thank you for this opportunity to present this <br />proposal for engineering services for the new 800 sq ft warming house in Little Canada. This <br />proposal includes mechanical, plumbing and electrical engineering services. <br />It is our understanding that the site sanitary waste and water service design will be the <br />responsibility of the Owner or a Civil Engineer and is not part of our scope of work. Our <br />design will extend the sanitary waste and domestic water to 5'0" beyond the building <br />foundation. <br />The following is a summary of the services we propose. <br />I. Scope of Basic Services: <br />A. Engineering Documents <br />• Site visit. <br />• Site plan with lighting, electric service and natural gas service design. <br />• Plumbing design for lavatories, urinals and water closets. Plumbing includes <br />waste, vent and water with plumbing riser diagrams. <br />• Toilet room ventilation with energy recovery unit. <br />• Heating system design assuming a furnace with provisions for future air <br />conditioning. <br />• Electrical power distribution, including abandonment of the existing building <br />service. <br />• Lighting design <br />• Life Safety Fire Alarm and Egress (meet ADA) <br />• Alarm locks for doors. <br />• Prepare and certify Division 22, 23 & 26 Documents. <br />B. Construction Administration Services: <br />• Shop Drawing Review <br />• One site observation during construction. <br />• Final site observation with punch list. <br />11.
