87.140 <br />TRAFFIC, BOATS, AND PARKS <br />87.045. Parking on Boulevard Prohibited. No vehicles shall be parked <br />on any boulevard adjacent to any public street. <br />87.050. Double Parking. Except that commercial vehicles may double <br />park for the length of time necessary to load or unload when calling for <br />or delivering parcels or merchandise and access to the curb is blocked, no <br />vehicle shall be double parked in any street. <br />87.060. Time Limitation Between 2:00 and 6:00 A.M. No vehicles shall <br />be parked on any street for more than 30 minutes between the hours of 2 :00 A.M. <br />and 6:00 A.M. <br />87.070. Time Limitation for Trucks. No truck with a capacity of over <br />2 tons shall be parked on any street for more than 90 minutes, or for the <br />time necessary to load or unload such truck. <br />87.080. Parking on Private Property. No vehicle shall be parked or <br />left standing upon the private property of any person without his consent. <br />87.100. No Parking After .Snow Fall. No person shall park any vehicle, <br />except in compliance with directions of a police officer or in compliance <br />with regulatory parking signs, on any street for a period of Forty -eight (48) <br />hours, commencing immediatelyjafter any two (2) inches or more continuous <br />snowfall, or until snow removal has been completed on any street, whichever <br />occurs first. <br />87.110. Police May Remove Illegally Parked Vehicle. Any vehicle <br />parked in violation of Section 87.100 is declared to be a nuisance which <br />interferes with snow removal from public streets, and any police officer <br />may remove or cause to be removed, summarily, any such vehicle, by means <br />of towing or otherwise, or said police officer may require the driver or <br />owner to remove said vehicle off the paved, improved or traveled portion <br />of said street. <br />87.120. Prosecution for'Violation. The removal of a vehicle which is <br />parked in violation of Section 87.100, either by a police officer or under <br />the direction of a police officer, shall not preclude a prosecution for <br />violation of any provision ofJChapter 87 of the City Code. <br />87.130. City Employee May Move Vehicle. Any employee of the Street <br />Division of the Public Works Department engaged in snow removal may, when <br />he finds it necessary in ordei to facilitate snow removal from streets, <br />move any vehicle, to the extent necessary, which is parked on any street. <br />87.140. Vehicular Parkin or Traffic Temporarily Prohibited. The <br />Public Works Director or the Chief of Police may temporarily prohibit <br />vehicular parking or traffic upon any public street at such times as the <br />Public Works Department is performing maintenance or making improvements <br />to such streets or at such times that a public safety emergency exists on <br />or near such streets. <br />10 <br />167 <br />
