KENNETH E. WELTZIN
County Engineer
PHYLLIS F. SPECKER
Administrative Assistant
July 25, 1979
The Honorable Raymond G. Hanson
Mayor of Little Canada
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minnesota 55117
Office of
Ramsey County Engineer
167 Courthouse
St. Paul, Minnesota 55102
Telephone (612) 298 -4127
Drainage, Road Maintenance,
Speed Zoning, and Signing Concerns
We have investigated the concerns and requests in your letter of
April 16 and our replies are as follows:
1. You requested a detailed map of your city showing roads
under county or state jurisdiction. The map is enclosed.
2. Washout repairs at 2817 Edgerton Street were completed
April 24, 1979.
3. Our maintenance forces installed culvert drainage systems
on the property at 2800 Edgerton Street many years ago.
Development of the surrounding areas have necessitated the
installation of a storm sewer, and we would recommend that
the city initiate this action. The county will participate
under its policy to pay its proportionate share based on a
ratio -of -use formula.
4. We will complete the cleaning work on the ditches at Demont
Avenue this week.
5. We have scheduled a bituminous overlay for County Road D
between Edgerton Street and LaBore Road this season. No
road lighting installations are planned. As you are aware,
road lighting is a municipal responsibility in most cases
under the new County Road Lighting Policy.
9
