Based on
FOR CHILD the Engineer's and Public Works Superintendent's review of the problem,
CARE they are recommending three options to improve the poor drainage within
an existing Swale along the south end of the Resources for Child Caring
property and the street water draining to the Swale in their parking lot.
The first option recommends the removal of some existing curb and
installation of a valley gutter and an additional Swale to redirect runoff.
The second option recommends the removal of 5 feet of parking lot in
order to expand an existing swale. The third option recommends
modifications to the existing storm sewer system.
The Administrator noted that the City Engineer is recommending that the
City proceed with the first two options and determine the benefit that these
provide before proceeding to the more expensive storm sewer
modification option. He also noted that Resources for Child Caring would
need to dedicate additional easement area for expansion of the existing
Swale.
