CITY OF LITTLE CANADA
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
Office of:
JOSEPH G. CHLEBECK, Clerk
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minn. 55117
484 -2177
February 15, 1979
MEMORANDUM
TO: Planning Commission Members
Peter Costa, Chairman
Council Members
FROM: Michael Fahey
Administrative Liaison
As a result of discussions at the Council Meeting on February 14,
1979, the Council concluded that both the Council and Planning
Commission should re- examine the necessity of repeated referrals
of proposed developments to the Planner for his evaluation. It
was felt that these repeated referrals, after initial evaluation
of the development by the Planner, are sometimes not necessary
and result in needless extra costs to the individual involved.
We ask that the Members of the Planning Commission use their own
experience and expertise to determine whether a referral back to
the Planner is necessary after he has initially refused a develop-
ment or whether it would be more appropriate for the Planning
Commission to make its own analysis and recommendation on such
matters, using the guidelines set forth in the Planner's original
report on a development.
The Members of the Council will proceed in the same fashion with
the ultimate goal to continue to insure all of our residents the
best service at the lowest possible cost.
MF :bj
MAYOR
Raymond Hanson
COUNCI L
Robert DeBace
Roy P.
