GRIGGS AND MORGAN
City of Little Canada
-2- November 27, 1979
3. On October 30, 1978, Centennial wrote to
Milnar W. Carley & Associates, the project engineer, requesting
reimbursement of the costs of having the County- required tests
performed. (See attached copy of Centennial's memorandum
dated October 30, 1978.)
4. Carley's inspector, Ewald Beise, denied
Centennial's request, and directed Centennial to Ramsey County.
Centennial then directed its reimbursement request to Ramsey
County, (see attached copy of memorandum dated November 7,
1978) which request was denied (see attached copy of George
Johnson's letter dated November 15, 1978). Centennial then
redirected its request for reimbursement to Mr. Beise (see
attached copy of Centennial's memorandum to Beise dated
November 28, 1978). Mr. Beise verbally reiterated his refusal
to approve Centennial's request for reimbursement.
From the foregoing, you can readily see that there
is a misunderstanding. Centennial clearly is entitled to be
reimbursed for the costs of tests which are the responsibility
of the City. We trust that the testing costs of $1,761.00 will
be added to the final payment which previously has been re-
quested. If this will not be the case, please advise us
promptly so that we may initiate appropriate collection measures.
MTF /jr
Enclosures
Very trult•urs,
cc: Milnar W.
