MINUTES
City Council
(Cont'd.)
January 2L, 1979
Councilmembers did not want the property in District $9 upzoned to
R -2. Mr. Licht pointed out that R -1 zoning would not allow for
duplexes on a conditional use permit, where R -2 zoning would. Mr.
DeBace felt that the City's R-1 zoning should be changed to allow
for this.
Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 79- 1 -44 - APPROVING PLANNING DISTRICT !/9
OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY PROPOSING THE ELIMINATION OF
THE CURRENT PUB AND B-2 ZONING AND LEANING THE ENTIRE
DISTRICT R -1 EXCEPT FOR THE BW ZONING IN THE NORTHWEST
CORNER OF THE DISTRICT
The foregong resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Nadeau.
Ayes (5) Fahey, Nadeau, Scalze, Hanson and DeBace.
Nayes (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 5, Pages 25 and 26.
Planning Mr. Licht stated that the zoning in Planning District #J10 is presently
District #10 R -1. He is suggesting that the Northeast corner be zoned R -3 to allow
for townhouses and the balance of the District to remain R -1. The
Planning Commission recommended that the Northeast corner of District
#10 be zoned R -2 and the remainder of the District remain R -1.
Councilman Fahey stated he was not in favor of upzoning in this
district.
Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 79 -1 -45 - APPROVING PLANNING DISTRICT #10
OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY PROPOSING THAT THE CURRENT
R -1 ZONING REMAIN AS IS
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze.
Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, DeBace, Hanson, and Nadeau.
Nayes (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 5, Page 26.
Planning Mr. Licht proposed BW zoning of Planning District #11 to conform with
District #11 the current uses in the District and B -2 zoning to apply to the shopping
center in District #11.
