COUNTY BUDGET <br />SUPERVISOR <br />1 Division Commander <br />3 Lieutenants - to be reduced to 1 Lieutenant during 1980 <br />8 Sergeants <br />Cities pay 1/3 cost of 3 DDivisionnCommander <br />4 Sergeants <br />Service provided by above: <br />1 Division Commander - supervisor of the Division <br />1 Lieutenant - in charge of Investigation Unit <br />Supervisor of 3 Sergeants and 5 Deputy Sheriff's <br />(also 2 Sergeants of Contract Service) <br />Investigates all crimes reported to the Sheriff's Office <br />1 Lieutenant - incharge of Patrol Unit <br />4 Sergeants - charged with Supervising 3 Shifts <br />1 day shift <br />1 afternoon shift <br />1 midnight shift <br />1 two days afternoons - two days midnights <br />1 Lieutenant - charged with administrative duties and two days charge of day shift <br />222 Deputies - 1 Acting Sergeant and special assignments <br />1 School Patrol <br />2 fulltime - 2 parttime Snowmobile /Water Patrol <br />2 LEAD <br />2 Narctoic Unit <br />1 Juvenile Unit <br />3 Welfare Security <br />10 Patrol Service <br />Duties of 222 Deputies: <br />Acting Sergeant and Special Assignment - Provides for Shift Supervision when anyone <br />of the Shift Supervisors are on vacation (20 weeks per year); remaining time <br />spent on special assignment - updating ordinances, updating procedures. <br />School Patrol - Provides direction for School Safety Patrol in Ramsey County; except <br />City of St. Paul and School District of White Bear Lake. <br />Snowmobile /Water Patrol - 22 Deputies - Provides water patrol and snowmobile patrol <br />coverage eight hours each day; directs parttime in summer for additional patrol. <br />Supervises Sheriff Reserves. <br />LEAU - 2 Deputies - Work on special details of gathering information on known or <br />suspected criminals active in Ramsey County. Will work anywhere in Ramsey <br />County, at times outside of County when investigation leads require it. <br />35 <br />
