Mr. Espejo
March 28, 1U;;',
Page 3
As
is you are well ;t1-re, I have taken some strong objections to some of
<,
cords and fLe. ,,:;y you have presented this report. I feel that a
conference (whirl) understand you of linfer,f „.. °u did at least give the manager the
actions neccr.:;ir, ,, to her side) witli me would have found that all
`:re being done, that we had crews working around
the clock to take <rrre of these problems that were really not our fault.
We offered and did to those tenants who desired, move them to a hotel
at our cost, offered them other units in the complex, and have been
working to alleviate the back up problem and its residual effects. To
the best of my knowledge, most of the residents have been most cooper-
ative. We are replacing carpet and have been working agressively to
keep our residents satisfied, as we do on all our complexes and es-
pecially at the Provinces. However, 1 am quite certain that you as a
public official, are well aware that there are always those people who
are never satisfied with anything and feel that they can get us at odds
with each other and can accomplish some misguided end of their own.
I feel that all necessary steps are being taken to alleviate the pro-
blem. There is not now nor has there ever been any serious or even
any minor health problems that we have not corrected on an immediate
basis, and there has been no justification for any tenant to contact
you other than to create some il.l -will. for a complete waste of a public
official's time.
We are most cooperative with any reasonable request and are totally
cooperative with the City in resolving any problems that are real and
not imaginary. I would appreciate it, if you wish to re- inspect any
of the apartments at the Provinces, that you either contact the office
or contact the manager, Mrs. Sue Nelson at 483 -1406, which would he the
proper channel to take. We will be more than happy to accompany you,
and I again re- emphasize that there is not at this time nor has there
ever been any problems that we have not been capable of handling and
have not handled on an immediate basis at the property.
I would appreciate your response to this letter at the above address.
I am copying everyone that was noted on your letter, with the exception
of the mysterious resident and :: will he happy to hand deliver them a
copy of this.
Thank you for your continued cooperation in this matter.
Yours truly,
HALKIRK COMPANIES
1111h,14767.( icM ”4/4._
Michael L.
