ST. PAUL. MINNESOTA 55100
PHONE 774 -0731
January 31, 1980
Re: City of Little Canada
Dear Sheriff Zacharias:
OF COUNSEL
FREDERICK P. MEMMER
I wish to thank you for your speedy response to my letter and
for your explanation of the problem which had led to my complaint. It
is clear now that poor communications were the cause of the difficulty.
I was pleased to learn that you are concerned with Little Canada's needs
and you recognize that some improvements should be made to insure that
future communications will be effective.
You stated in our phone conversation today that you agree that
we should have one person in your department with wham to make contact
regarding any of our concerns and you are presently making efforts to
accommodate our future needs. You also expressed a desire to have more
uniformity among the ordinances of the several cities you are servicing
so as to make the job of law enforcement less complex and more certain
than in the past. We will look into this and attempt to help your de-
partment by making the necessary ordinance improvements.
If our mutual efforts are undertaken in the same spirit of co-
operation which the tone of our conversation today indicated, I'm sure
that our problems in the future will be minimal.
Yours very truly,
CLAYTON PARKS, JR.
CLAYTON PARKS, JR.
City Attorney
City of Little Canada
CPJ • . srt
c: Joseph Chlebeck, City Clerk
24
