300 Metro Square Building, 7th Street and Robert Street, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55101 Area 612, 291 -6359 <br />April 29, 1980 <br />TO: Local Officials In Ramsey County, Washington <br />County, and Brooklyn Center <br />SUBJECT: <br />Minnesota Housing Finance Agency Home Improvement <br />Grant Program, Year V <br />MHFA has just announced that funds for Year V will be available on <br />July 1, 1980, and that applications from agencies to administer <br />those funds must be received by May 30, 1980. <br />Metro HRA will be applying for funds as an administering agency in <br />cooperation with those communities who authorize Metro HRA to under- <br />take the program in their city. Since your community has participated <br />with Metro HRA in this program in the past, we encourage your con- <br />tinued cooperation in providing rehabilitation grants to low income <br />homeowners in your community. <br />The maximum grant amount will be increased to $6,000 and the maximum <br />adjusted income for the homeowner applicant will be $6,000 for this <br />phase. The amount of funds available for your community is indicated <br />on the attached sheet as well as the amounts available for administra- <br />tive costs. If you intend to provide local administration of the <br />program, please let me know. <br />If you would like to continue the program in your community, please <br />have the attached resolution approved by the City Council and returned <br />to Metro HRA by Friday, May 23, 1980. <br />Thank you for your continued cooperation.
