Office of:
JOSEPH G. CHLEBECK, Clerk
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minn. 55117
484 -2177
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
MEMO
DATE: Nov. 3, 1980
TO: Councilman Mike Fahey
FROM: L. Squires, Building Insp.
RE: Proposed Warming House
Per your request, I have reviewed the plans for the pro-
posed warming house and also the letter of proposal submitted
by Mr. Hoffman.
The plans show a wood truss roof covered top and bottom
by painted metal and insulation with a R -19 insulating
factor. The alternate roof system of precast concrete and
styrofoam, proposed by Mr. Hoffman, would have an approximate
factor of R -15.4. This would give you approximately 207. less
insulating value. The concrete roof system is more permanent
and stronger and in my opinion, more expensive.
Other than the above considerations, you may want to
consider the appearance of the completed structure (flat roof
versus a peaked roof).
If you have any question;, please call me.
Respectfull
L.E. Squires
Building Inspector
LES :gb
cc: City Clerk
7
MAYOR
Raymond Hanson
COUNCIL
Robert DeBace
Roy P. Nadeau, Jr.
Michael Fahey
Beverly Scalae
