Nadeau, Jr.
Michael Fahey
Beverly Scalars
The newer portion of the school would meet the requirements
for a E -3 occupancy with the addition of automatic closing
fire doors to separate the newer and older portions of the school.
Code requirements would not allow this use in the older portion
in its present state. A direct exit to the outside from the
lower level and the installation of fire rated corridors in all
portions of the older structure would have to be installed
before E -3 occupancy could be considered.
Additional approval from the fire marshall, who enforces
the "uniform fire code ", would also have to be. obtained.
If you have any further questions regarding this matter,
please feel free to call me.
LES:gb
cc: City Council
City Clerk
Fire Dept.
Fire Marshall
- Ms. Peggy Lane
Dept. of Public Welfare
Centennial Office Bldg.
St. Paul, Mn. 55115
Sincerely,.
2
L.
