Borg appeared and stated that they were not aware
that they would be on the adjenda for the last Planning Commission
meeting. They gave the Planning Commission members a copy of a
letter they had written to the mayor dated August 14, 1930, in
which they requested an appeal of the action taken by the City
Council in reference to rezoning their property for a tri -plex.
Er. Sorg stated that Jackson street would not be extended beyond
his neighbors property (Mr. Homer Deslauries).Mr. Borg is opposed
to putting in a road for only three properties.
Dennis Forsberg, although against "spot zoning ", feels that it
is not necessary to rezone all three properties in question.
Mr. Borg stated that a business is still being conducted out
of 19r. Deslauries building.
Mr. Deslauries was also present and stated that he does not
care what happens to the properties in regard to rezoning,
but he does want something done to upgrade that portion of
Jackson St. which runs up to his property. He said that he
now has a problem with water run off from the Borg's properties.
Mr. and Mrs. Borg again showed the Planning Commission members
plans for the Tri -plex they wish to build which calls for a
2 or 3 bedroom unit on the upper level, which they intend to
occupy, and 2 -1 bedroom units on the lower level which they
intend to use as rental units.
1
