Section 3 <br />Section 4 <br />Section 5 <br />Section 6 <br />ARTICLE V <br />(Continued) <br />DRAFT <br />CHAIRMAN <br />The Chairman of the Justice Advisory Board shall preside at <br />meetings of the Advisory Board and the Executive Committee. The <br />Chairman shall appoint the Chairmen and members of the <br />Juvenile Justice Committee, Adult Justice Committee, Law Enforce- <br />ment Committee and oversee the work of <br />the Justice Advisory Board and Executive Committee. The chair- <br />person shall perform other duties incident to the office of <br />Chairman and such other duties as may be prescribed by the <br />Advisory Board. <br />VICE - CHAIRMAN .. <br />The 1st Vice - chairman shall serve in the absence of the Chair- <br />man and perform the duties and exercise the powers of the <br />Chairman at such time and shall perform such other duties as <br />the Chairman or the Advisory Board may designate. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE CHAIRMEN <br />The Chairmen of the four standing committees (Juvenile Justice, <br />Adult Justice, Law Enforcement ; shall preside at <br />meetings of the committees, provide an agenda, supervise the work <br />of the committee, and report to the Advisory Board. <br />EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR <br />The Executive Director shall be the employed director of the <br />Criminal Justice Planning Department and provide the Advisory <br />Board and its standing committees, as well as ad hoc committees, <br />with the necessary Department staff resources for the proper <br />functioning of the Advisory Board. Pursuant to County Resolution <br />#79 -1049, the Executive Director "should report to the Chairman <br />of the Advisory Board in regards to matters of policy, planning, <br />coordination, monitoring and evaluation of community law enforce- <br />ment, corrections, and juvenile and criminal justice activities. <br />The Executive Director should coordinate with the County Executive <br />Director's office with regard to matters of County administrative <br />policy, budgeting, fiscal control and reporting, and Civil Service <br />and personnel management." <br />62 <br />
