CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATIONS <br />WHEREAS, The City of Little Canada is generally authorized to accept donations of real and <br />personal property pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 465.03 for the benefit of Its citizens, and is <br />specifically authorized to accept gifts and bequests for the benefit of recreational services pursuant to <br />Minnesota Statutes Section 471.17; and <br />WHEREAS, The following persons and entities have offered to contribute the cash amounts set <br />forth below to the City: <br />Name of Donor Amount <br />Little Canada Fire Department $100,000 <br />WHEREAS, All such donations have been contributed to assist the City in the funding of' fire <br />equipment replacement, as allowed by law; and <br />WHEREAS, The City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donations offered. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE <br />CANADA, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The donation described above is accepted and shall be placed in the City's Fire <br />Equipment Fund to help finance future fire equipment replacement either alone or in cooperation with <br />others, as allowed by law. <br />2. The City Administrator is hereby directed to issue a receipt to the Little Canada Fire <br />Department acknowledging the City's receipt of the donation. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Little Canada on May 8, 2013. <br />Approved: <br />William 131esener, Mayor <br />Attested: <br />.loel Hanson, City Administrator <br />
