2013 GOAL <br />ACTION <br />PLANS <br />MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />APRIL 24, 2013 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 24th day of <br />April, 2013 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Council Member <br />City Administrator <br />City Clerk <br />Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Mike McGraw <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />Ms. Shelly Boss <br />Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />The City Administrator reported that the purpose of this evening's <br />workshop meeting is to review draft Action Plans for 2013 Goals. <br />The Administrator presented an action plan for "Conduct Financial <br />Planning "What Ifs ". He reported that there is the potential that the <br />Legislature will increase Local Government Aid (LGA) to Little Canada <br />not only for 2014, but for the next few years. The consensus was to wait <br />until the Legislature adjourns its 2013 Session in June. Once the impact to <br />LGA is known, this action plan can be modified accordingly. <br />The Administrator reviewed the draft action plan for "Remodel City <br />Center ", indicating that the first step is to determine the scope of items to <br />be considered. The Council discussed priorities with that discussion <br />focused on replacement of front walkway, upgrade of backdrop in Council <br />Chambers, Cable TV equipment enhancements, and maintenance issues at <br />the City Center. The consensus was that a staff committee should be <br />formed to develop a prioritized list of improvements for Council <br />consideration. <br />There was some discussion about the number of goals with Montour <br />suggesting that at future goal setting sessions some limitation be set on the <br />
