MINUTES Planning Commission January 8, 1987 Hardy CUP (Cont.) Commission Members' Absences Election Of Officers Mr. Perlinger recommended approval of the Thomas Hardy, D /B /A Zeta Corporation, conditional use permit for retail auto sales in Ryan Industrial Park subject to the recommendations of the City Planner amending recommendation No. 10 to allow the retail sales of 52 cars per year rather than 25, and with the removal of recommendation No. 8,butnoting this recommendation for the record, and further that the Hardy retail sales conditional use permit will be considered as the second used car retail sales license issued in the City. Motion seconded by Mr. Costa. Motion carried 5 - 0. Mr. Hardy asked when site improvements, as recommended by the Planner, would have to be completed. The Planner pointed out that landscaping would require a security bond and informed Mr. Hardy to inform his landlord about the site improvements that are necessary. The property owner will have to submit a site plan for review by the Planner. The Planner thought that the conditional use permit could be issued, pending site improvements in the spring. Mr. DeLonais reported that Mrs. Schweizer contacted him prior to the meeting informing him that she could not attend due to a company meeting she had to attend. Mrs. Schweizer also informed him that she missed last month's meeting due to a death in the family. DeLonais suggested that when a Commission member misses a meeting due to a valid excuse, and informs the Chairman of the Commission that he or she cannot attend, the absence should be excused. Due to nomination by the Commission, Pete Costa was elected as Chairman of the Planning Commission for 1987, while Gene DeLonais was elected as Acting Chairman. Mr. Herkenhoff recommended that the Commission recognize the professional and conscientious job that the Commission officers have done in the past. Motion seconded by Mr. Davison.
