Manner of taking. <br />AU vacations must be arranged at least thirty (30) days in <br />advance, and the times of such vacations shall be subject to <br />the approval of the clerk - administrator. Employees will be <br />given opportunity to select vacation periods insofar as it is <br />practical. Selection of vacation time shall be based on <br />service credit. (Ord. Taking In advance. <br />If any employee desires vacation pay in advance of <br />vacation, he must give the clerk - administrator at least two <br />(2) weeks written notice of such request. (Ord. Carry -over. <br />Effective with the calendar year commencing January 1, <br />1980, no regular employee shall carry over into the next <br />calendar year any more accrued vacation leave benefits <br />than forty (40) hours in excess of the total hours he has <br />actually accrued during that year. Scope. <br />Those employees of the city entitled to sick leave benefits <br />shall be paid in full for absences from work due to illness or <br />injury as provided in this division. (Ord. Eligibility — Generally. <br />Regular employees and regular part -time employees shall <br />be eligible for sick leave benefits after they have accumu- <br />lated one year's service credit. (Ord.
