419 -76 <br />ARDEN HILLS CODE <br />sick leave allowance shall not be granted unless the <br />employee has been in the employ of the city at least one <br />calendar year, whether part -time or full -time. The council <br />shall also determine in the particular case whether such <br />emergency sick leave as may be granted shall be charged <br />against later accumulations of sick Ieave by the employee. <br />(Ord. Workmen's compensation. <br />In the event of an employee's absence under circum- <br />stances where he is entitled to receive and does receive <br />workmen's compensation benefits, the weekly benefits so <br />received as compensation for loss of earnings shall be <br />deducted from the amount of sick leave benefit otherwise <br />payable hereunder, but benefits made pursuant to any <br />schedule as compensation for permanent injury shall not be <br />deducted. To the extent that absence from work is <br />compensated under the workmen's compensation law, such <br />absences shall not be charged against the sick leave to <br />which an employee may be entitled hereunder.
