This proposed plat is located east of Payne
Addition Avenue and west of Thunder Bay Road.
Agenda Don Valento appeared before the Council and reported that there
Item No. 5 are several property owners involved in this plat. The property
involved is owned by the Newman's, Campbell's, Sack's, Jespersen's,
Frank Frattalone and Don Valento.
Valento pointed out that the proposed street ends in a cul -de -sac
on the north end as there are hones located along County Road 0
which prevent the street from running through. The street is
proposed to run through to Lafore Raod on the south.
Frank Frattalone indicated that in previous discussions with
the Council in conjunction with the Sophie /Peterson plat, the
Council indicated that they would like the street in the Thunder
Bay 2nd Addition to go through to Lafore Road on the south.
Frattalone also pointed out that the City will have to determine
where it would like the pond located that is proposed for this area.
Mrs. Scalze stated that this proposed plat will have to be sent
to the Park Commission.
The Planner indicated that the applicants are seeking concept
approval at this point as there is not adequate information for
preliminary plat approval.
Mr. Lawrence Wright, 657 LaBore Road, indicated that he is opposed
to the street going through to LaBore Road as it will be very close
to his home. Wright pointed out that a few years ago the indication'
was that the street would be cul- de -saced on the south..
Ms. Mardini stated that the Council decided it did not want a
cul -de -sac and wanted the street to go through to LaBore Road.
Blesener agreed that the Council indicated that they granted the
traffic.to go south onto LaRore Road to keep additional traffic
off Payne Avenue and Greenbrier.
..r. Valento read from the Council minutes of October 28, 1981
which indicated that if possible the Council wanted the road to
go through to LaBore Road.
Valento and Frattalone indicated that they were agreeable to
either the road going :khrough on the south or a cul -de -sac on
the south. However,'Valento pointed out that there are people
opposed to the cul -de -sac as well as people opposed to the
street going through to LaBore.
Page 92 EM 017 is
bourtuu MINUTES
