MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 12, 2006 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-7-767 -ACCEPTING THE 2005 AUDIT <br />REPORT AS SUBMITTED BY TAUTGES REDPATH <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CONSENT Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />AGENDA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-7-762 -APPROVING THE CONSENT <br />AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: <br />APPROVAL OF THE VOUCHERS; <br />*A WARD OF BID FOR 2006 SEAL COATING AS RECOMMENDED <br />BY THE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT; <br />*APPROVAL OF PARTIAL PAY REQUEST OF T. A. SCHIFSKY <br />FOR 2006IMPROVEMENTS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />RUSH The City Administrator presented the revised Rush Line Joint Powers <br />LINE Agreement which allows for the expansion of the membership on the <br />JOINT Rush Line Corridor Committee as well as provides the potential for <br />POWERS fund raising. The Administrator noted ChaC Mayor Blesener is a member <br />AGREEMENT the Rush Line Corridor and can explain the changes in further detail. <br />Mayor Blesener noted ChaC while the revised JPA provides the ability to <br />assess costs to Che member cities, there is no intenCion to do so. He noted <br />that the only expenses that the Rush Line Corridor has are insurance costs <br />which are paid for by the various railroad authorities. Blesener noted Chat <br />initial plans were to extend Che Rush Line Corridor to Hinckley, however, <br />the City of Duluth has expressed interest in having the corridor extend to <br />their city. Therefore, the JPA expands membership to include additional <br />cities and counties along the route to Duluth. The corridor may extend <br />into Wisconsin, however, Wisconsin would not become a member of the <br />task force. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />
