Little Canada Planning Commission
October 5, 1987
Page Two
It is our opinion that allowing a resident to have a garage is a reasonable use
of the land and the variance is the minimum variance as the setback to other
structures and side yard are met. The rear yard abuts a railroad therefore, the
most reasonable location of the garage is the rear yard where the applicant is
proposing to locate it.
RECOMMENDATION
Based on the above review our office recommends approval of the variance request
to construct a garage in the rear yard setback contingent upon the following:
1. The garage must be inconformance with Section 903.020 Subdivision T. reg-
ulating building construction and materials.
2. Subject to any other comments by City Attorney, City Engineer, City Build-
ing Inspector, and City Staff.
cc: Joe Chlebeck
John Palacio
Tom Sweeney
Don Carley
Paul and Evelyn Anderson
Page 37
