MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JULY 26, 2006
of this area. The Council, therefore, agreed that the City should not pursue
purchase agreements for the Trobec and Bordsen properties.
COUNTRY The City Administrator reported that he has not heard back from a party
DRIVE that had contacted the City relative to potential hotel/restaurant sites in
Little Canada. The Administrator also reported that he contacted Don
Gagne and asked whether he was interested in the City putting out an RFP
for ahotel/restaurant use on his property. Gagne indicated that his wife is
not interested in selling at this time, but suggested that they maybe once
the freeway project is completed.
The Administrator also pointed out that the two adjacent property owners
may not be willing sellers at this time, and noted that ahotel/restaurant
project would not work without assembling these two properties in
addition to the Gagne site and the site already owned by the City. He noted the expansion of the Gateway Redevelopment Area to
include the Cossack, Maleitzke, and City property along Little Canada
Road across from Parkview Court. The Administrator indicated that he
was not sure if Tom Cossack was willing to sell his site, but noted that the
asking price for the Maleitzke property appears to be too high. The
Administrator indicated that he would contact Maleitzke to review the
numbers.
RENOVATIONS The City Administrator pointed out the potential to utilize the City's
ON LITTLE business revolving loan funds for renovations of existing buildings on
