MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 26, 2006 <br />VACANCIES these vacancies. He recommended that the vacancies be again advertised, <br />and suggested that if the Council knows of any potential candidates that <br />they be contacted and encouraged to apply. <br />Blesener noted that one vacancy extends through 2006 and the other <br />through 2007. The consensus was that the 2006 vacancy will be extended <br />for the subsequent three year term, i.e. through December 31, 2009. <br />ACCEPTANCE The City Administrator submitted drainage and utility easements for the <br />OF EASEMENTS Brausen and Resler properties on Viking Drive which will allow for some <br />RELATIVE additional filling to mitigate the impact of the retaining wall that is parC <br />TO THE of The Preserve development. <br />PRESERVE <br />DEVELOPMENT Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-7-I77 -ACCEPTING THE DRAINAGE <br />AND UTILITY EASEMENTS OVER THE BRAUSEN AND RESLER <br />PROPERTIES AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE EASEMENT <br />DOCUMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />JESSICA The City Administrator reviewed the City Engineer's report dated July 26, <br />COURT AND 2006 recommending rejection of bids for the Jessica Court and County <br />COUNTY Road B-2 lift station work and Che rebidding of this work. The Engineer <br />ROAD B-2 noted in his report Chat of the three bids received, only one was valid given <br />LII'T STATIONS alCernate equipment that was included in two of the bids caused Chem to be <br /> disqualified. The Engineer recommended that given there is only one <br /> valid bid, all bids be rejected and the work rebid. The Administrator <br /> reported that the Engineer will also review the possible use of alCernate <br /> equipment as part of this project, and if acceptable, will include it in bid <br /> specifications. <br />Mr. Montour introduced Che following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESO7 UTION NO.2006-7-178 -REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED <br />FOR THE JESSICA COURT LIFT STATION AND COUNTY ROAD <br />B-2 LIFT STATION WORK BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION <br />13 <br />
