MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 8, 2013 <br />CALL <br />WORKSHOP - <br />2013 GOAL <br />ACTION <br />PLAN <br />PROGRESS <br />REPORT <br />CALL <br />WORKSHOP — <br />TRANSIT <br />SERVICE <br />WATER <br />METER <br />SYSTEM <br />REPORT <br />The Administrator reported that the Action Plans for eight of the 2013 <br />Goals call for a report to the Council by May 22 °d or require some <br />additional direction to staff. The Administrator recommended that a <br />workshop meeting be called for Wednesday, May 22nd to review the <br />progress reports on these goals. <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -5 -83 — CALLING A WORKSHOP MEETING <br />FOR WEDNESDAY, MAY 22, 2013 AT 6:00 P.M. TO RECEIVE A <br />2013 GOAL ACTION PLAN PROGRESS REPORT FROM CITY <br />STAFF <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported that Ady Wickstrom of Shoreview has <br />requested a workshop session with the City Council to discuss transit <br />service in Ramsey County. Wickstrom, County Commissioner <br />McDonough, White Bear Lake Mayor Jo Emerson, and Shoreview <br />Economic Development Commission Member Jonathon Weinhagenjoin <br />in this request and are planning to meet with all Ramsey County cities in <br />an attempt to develop a unified approach to transit funding /priorities for <br />the County. <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -5 -84 — CALLING A WORKSHOP MEETING <br />FOR WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12, 2013 AT 6:30 P.M. TO DISCUSS <br />TRANSIT WITHIN RAMSEY COUNTY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Public Works Superintendent reviewed his report dated May 2, <br />2013 updating the Council on the new fixed- network water meter system <br />that has been in place for the past 16 months. With regard to the <br />installation portion of the project, the Superintendent reported that there <br />are 25 meters in the City that have not been upgraded, 22 residential and 3 <br />commercial. Of these, 13 are vacant properties, including all 3 of the <br />commercial properties. The Superintendent reported that staff is waiting <br />for the vacant properties to change ownership and will upgrade the meters <br />8 <br />
