MINN. 55117 <br />8 -6 -81 <br />page 2 <br />VINCENT BRASS Motion to recommend that the council approve setback <br />EXPANSION CON'T variance as requested by Vincent Brass made by Jim Steele. <br />2nd by Roy French <br />Approved 5 -0 <br />George Dougherty said that they had referred the question <br />raised about the present billboard to their attorney. He <br />also stated that they would be receptive to any reasonable <br />landscaping requests made by the city. <br />Motion to recommend that City Council approve variance for <br />loading area request made by Sharon Timmons. <br />2nd by Roy French. <br />Approved 5 -0 <br />Motion to recommend that City Council approves overall <br />proposal as submitted by V_ Brass subject to Planners <br />recommendations including removal of the billboard and <br />city reviewal of building plans made by Roy French. <br />2nd by Myers Frattalone. <br />Approved 5 -0. <br />FURNITURE SHOWCASE Jerry Stocknett, President of Furniture Showcase appeared. <br />& CONN CO SHOES They lease part of Conn Co's building. He was told he could <br />put up temporary signs. He went ahead and put up the perm <br />anet signs. Ann Brohen said that the roof sign (Conn Co) <br />is non - conforming. <br />Motion to recommend that City Council approve the Furniture <br />Showcase signs, and that the City Council check on whether <br />or not the roof sign that Conn. Co. has is conforming, made <br />by Sharon Timmons. <br />2nd by Jim Steele. <br />Approved 5 -0 <br />LARRY LEE Mr. Lee was present, but the presentation materials he <br />PROPOSAL planned topresent were locked in a room at City Hall and he <br />could not get them out. Eugene DeLonais statedthat he was <br />still concerned that the neighbors might be opposed to Mr. <br />Lee's proposal. Joe Chlebeck came and opened the room for <br />Mr. Lee to get the models. Mr. Lee presented 2 models for <br />the area. He said under the conditions he is proposing, <br />there would be no traffic on Jackson. If the property <br />were to remain residential then the traffice from the <br />residential area would have to go on Jackson St. <br />Gene DeLonais stated that he would like to see some <br />signatures from the neighbors that they are not opposed to <br />the proposal.. <br />
