OFF STREET LOADING. The ordinance requires one loading berth for each <br />10,000 sq. ft of floor area. Due to the special warehousing use of this building, namely <br />metal storage, that many loading berths would never be needed. In order to make reasonable <br />use of the building, 11 loading berths would be enough. <br />914.050 C.2.a. LOT REQUIREMENT AND SET - BACKS. A set =back of 7'4" on part of the <br />East side rather than the specified 15' is requested. A hardship exists due to the shape of <br />the property. The current building consists of 3 areas or bays that are approximately 63' <br />wide arid 264' long. The center bay has a crane in it. The new building would have to line <br />up with the center bay of the current building so the crane rails would line up. This is <br />necessary so material can be received at one end and shipped at the other.
