C.S. WRIGHT, MANAGER
INSURANCE SERVICES OFFICE
OF MINNESOTA
12 SO. SIXTH ST.. ROOM 1229, MINNEAPOLIS. MINN. 55402
TELEPHONE: (612) 338 -8200
August 12, 1981
Mr. Joseph G. Chlebeck, Clerk
Municipal Building
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, MN 55117
Dear Mr. Chlebeck:
We have received your recent request for a survey of your city. Our normal
survey cycle is about 10 years. However, we do make surveys at shorter
intervals when there is sufficient change to indicate a possible change
in public protection class.
We would appreciate receiving a brief resume of any major fire protection
changes made in your city since our last survey in 1973 as they pertain
to Receiving and Handling Fire Alarms, Fire Department and Water Supply.
If this information indicates a possibility of change in the public
protection classification, we will schedule Little Canada for a survey
as soon as personnel are available.
As you may know, the public fire protection classification number is ued by
the Insurance Services Office as only one of several elements in developing
some individual property fire insurance rates. Individual property fire rates
are also dependent upon specific construction, occupancy, private protection
and exposure from adjacent buildings.
The purpose of the survey will be to gather information needed to determine a
fire insurance classification which may be used to develop fire insurance
rates. It will not be for property loss prevention or life safety purposes
and no life safety or property loss recommendations will be made.
Very truly yours,
Ralph H.
