Little Canada Planning Commission,
Mayor and City Council
24 February 1981
Page Two
3. Previous Additions. As you undoubtedly recall, there was considerable confusion
on the last C.U.B. Foods expansion. While the bakery was definitely approved,
there was no record as to approval of a second story office expansion above the front
portion of the building. Further, the building permit fee paid by the applicant does
not appear to include the office space. Prior to issuance of this requested permit,
any remaining questions on the previous request should be resolved. This may mean
adjustment of the previous building permit fee and should be subject to evaluation by
the Building Official.
4. Landscaping. At the Council meeting in which the bakery expansion was approved,
former Councilman DeBace informed the Council that previously required landscaping
had been completed (see minutes dated 13 August 1980). Although we have not seen
a landscape plan for the property in question, it k assumed that this issue has been
satisfactorily resolved.
RECOMMENDATION
In discussing the issue of the previous bakery addition with Mr. Sundholm, he indicated
that the second floor office addition had been addressed by the City. He is, however,
willing to cooperate in resolving the matter to the City's satisfaction. Once this issue
has been resolved, it is recommended that the meat department expansion be approved
contingent upon approval of the proposed building plans by the Building Official.
cc: Joe Chlebeck
Clayton Parks
Larry Squires
Don Carley
Merrill Sundholm
,3 9
