Mr. Joseph Chlebeck
- 3 - December 29, 1980
how they can be used to implement the plan, particularly for
protection of solar access. The plan should also address implemen-
tation mechanisms designed to protect historic preservation and
environmentally sensitive areas. Finally, the plan should contain
a schedule for adoption and effectuation.
The Council and its staff are anxious to work with you to resolve
this matter as soon as possible. However, until sufficient infor-
mation is provided, the review will be suspended. In the next few
days your staff contact will be in touch to arrange a meeting to
explain the needed information in more detail.
After meeting with Council staff, if you disagree with the basis
for the suspension, your local governmental unit may appeal the
suspension to the Land Use Advisory Committee as provided in
Council Plan Review Procedures. Appeal requests must be filed
within 30 days of the suspension. A request must be authorized by
action of the governing body of your jurisdiction, and it should
be directed to the Chairman of the Council. Upon receipt of the
request by the Council, the Land Use Advisory Committee will contact
and advise you on further appeal procedures.
Sincerely,
Charles Weaverl✓-
Chairman
CRW:im
Attach.
cc: David Licht, Northwest Associated Consultants, Inc.
Stanley Kegler, Metropolitan Council District 4
James P.
