M E T R O P O L I T A N C O U N C I L
Suite 300 Metro Square Building, St. Paul, Minnesota 55101
July 9, 1980
M E M O R A N D U M
TO: Principal Reviewers
FROM: Tom Caswell
SUBJECT: Land Use Figures
When reviewing comprehensive plans, please fill in this form with the acreages
given in the plans for each of the categories listed below. In some cases the
information will be not available (N /AV), or not applicable (N /AP). In other
cases the information may be in more detail than we need for our purposes. For
example, if a community lists six categories of industrial, some judgment will
have to be made by the reviewer whether the industries are basically "light" or
"heavy."
These forms will be maintained in a file and will prove valuable in comparing
each community's anticipated land uses with that of other communities. Also,
when all the plans are received and approved, aggregate figures will be used in
updating the Development Framework.
Acres Acres
City Name Existing, Land Use 1990 Land Use
Single - Family
Multifamily (4 -Plex or Larger)
Total Residential
Commercial Office
Commercial Retail
Total Commercial
Light Industrial
Heavy Industrial
Total Industrial
Public
Open Space & Parks
Airports
Streets & Alleys or Rights of Way
Commercial Agri.
