ballot shall be apportioned among the various candidates of that <br />2 party receiving votes in the presidential primary, in proportion <br />3 to their respective vote totals. <br />4 The secretary of state shall certify to the state chairman <br />' 5 of each political party appearing on the presidential primary <br />6 ballot the number of delegates to which each presidential <br />7 candidate is entitled. <br />8 Subd. 2. Delegates to the national convention of each <br />9 political party appearing on the presidential primary ballot <br />10 shall be chosen by the state convention of that patty, except as <br />11 oth^rwise provided in this subdivision. The secretary of each <br />12 party's state convention shall promptly notify the secretary of <br />13 state of the names of the delegates to the national convention <br />14 chosen as supporters of each presidential candidate. Only <br />15 supporters of candidates whose names appeared on the <br />16 presidential primary ballot may be chosen by the state <br />17 convention of that party to be delegates to the national <br />16 convention. The secretary of state shall promptly notify each <br />15 presidential candidate of the names of the delegates to the <br />20 national convention chosen as supporters of that candidate. if <br />21 the presidential candidate determines that the delegates chosen <br />22 as his supporters by the state convention are not in fact <br />23 committed to his candidacy, he shall, within ten days of <br />24 receiving the notification from the secretary of state, advise <br />25 the secretary of state of the names of those delegates to whom <br />26 he objects on those grounds and shall name as substitute <br />27 delegates any other individuals who are committed to his <br />25 candidacy. The determination and selection by the presidential <br />26 candidate shall take precedence over.the decision of the state <br />30 convention and be final. The secretary of state shall promptly <br />notify the secretary of the state convention of the affected <br />__ political party of the action by a Presidential candidate. <br />32 Subd. 3., At the national convention, delegates chosen <br />34 because of their support for a presidential'candidate shall vote <br />35 for that candidate on the first ballot at the national <br />35 convention regardless of the number of votes he receives, and • <br />37 shall also vote for him on the second and third ballots if he <br />
